AK Metal Fabrications completed the Pan No. 1 bottom cone upgrades & pipework modification and Pan No. 3 Re-tube.

The projects were both completed on time and within budget.

The team identified other areas of concern along the way and helped work with the Client to ensure those areas were also rectified without time extensions and ensured the Mill would be ready for the 2024 crushing season without delays.

This work was completed not only on time and within budget but also incident and injury free.

Fact: The Tully Sugar Mill is one of Australia’s largest Sugar Mill. The town of Tully is built around Mill Site making Tully an inviting and educational visit.

AK Metal Fabrications were part of the Teir 1 core contractors in completing the demolition and construction of the Clarifier at the Macknade Mill, North Queensland owned by Wilmar Sugar.

The Team completed the work on time and even had the opportunity to then undertake maintenance work at the Victoria Invicta Mills.

Fact: the Macknade Mill is QLD oldest Sugar Mill, which was started up and run continuously 1873.
